Gees Iberia has facilitated a pivotal meeting between José Antonio Illesca, Director of the renowned Spanish company Ceramica El Torrente, and representatives of Georgia’s Partnership Fund. The discussions centered on market expansion strategies, including the relocation of Ceramica El Torrente’s brick factory to Georgia to better serve the Eastern European market.
Ceramica El Torrente, a company with decades of experience, is known for its innovative, high-tech, and environmentally friendly ceramic bricks available in various sizes and shapes. The relocation to Georgia marks a strategic move to enhance supply chain efficiency and tap into the growing market demands in Eastern Europe.

The construction of the new factory officially began on November 26, 2018, in the village of Metekhi, located in Georgia’s Kaspi district. In a bold step towards international expansion, Ceramica El Torrente dismantled its Spanish factory and moved operations to Georgia.
